Avantasia, “Avantasia” (2000)
This blog is designed to function as a portfolio for my “How To Make a Dictionary” Classes. The university is the university of Bielefeld and the lecturer is Pr Dafydd Gibbon.
I choose this course because: first, it seems to me that it will be rather practical one (up to now I have studied all the linguistic subjects and a course where I can apply the theory appeared to be very tempting); second, the subject is interesting and new for me because in Bulgaria there is no such thing; third, I see the possibility to study a subject from my faculty and at the same time to make use of the modern technologies (the internet and the creation of the portfolio) and I like the idea to combine the two things. Last but not least, by taking this course I hope to bear witness to the modern tendencies in linguistics.
Objectives:
-
Refreshment of my linguistic knowledge
-
Learning how a dictionary is created
-
Learning how a (new) language is systematized, analysed and processed by linguists
-
Learning about some software used by lexicographers
-
Practicing and creating a good and functional portfolio
